Design is a no weld design but the grinder can easily be welded if you desire. The flexible, robust design allows you to make changes to customize your grinder/sander to your own needs. You might try searching for "no weld grinder plans" It's been a long time since I was thinking of going that route, but I seem to remember there was an entire sub-culture of people sharing plans for bolt-together home built grinders. You could always adapt those plans to welding one up if you would rather go that route.

Please note that the bore of this drive wheel is 5/8" to suit most popular electric motors or bench grinders. For DIY style grinders like GIB. EERF, NO WELD etc. Also work well on any professionally manufactured 2x72" belt grinder. The wheels are 2-1/4" face width to comfortably accept any commercial 2" wide grinding belt.
