Text description provided by the architects. The buildingis situated on the premises of a former screw mill in Libčice nad Vltavou onthe banks of the Vltava river, to the north of Prague. The screw mill wasfounded in 1872, the Coal Mill building originates from approximately 1900.

Between the Coal-Grinding Mill and the Boiler House a pedestrian street was built leading from the main estate road towards the river. Our objective was to preserve the building, rid it of all unsuitable alterations carried out in the past and give it back its original industrial character so that its historic function remains visible even after the renovation.
