Abstract The authors analyze the influence of the semi-autogenous (SAG) mill parameters on the mill grinding efficiency, energy consumption and the tangential cumulative contact energy. This paper provides a new liner parameter design and optimization method, which offers theoretical guidance for the optimization design of liner parameters.
