Mar 16, 2017. #1. I still have a McCormick soil pulverizer like you mentioned. We normally would use it to pull behind our grain drill to break up any lumps and firm the seed bed. I also have used it to pull behind a disk if the ground was lumpy and the clods need to be broken up. I think mine is a 9 ft. as we pulled it behind an 8 ft. IH drill.
